Mumbai, July 7 (IBNS): Indian National Cricket Team captain, M.S.Dhoni and pop-rock singer Kailash Kher both turned a year older on Satarday.
Dhoni, who was born in Ranchi in the year 1981, turned 31 and Kailash Kher, who was born in Uttar Pradesh turned 39.
Dhoni, who is the brand ambassador of brands like Aircel communications, Dabur Honey, Big Bazaar and others made his debut in the national team in 2004 and later in 2007 became the captain of the national team.
Under Dhoni’s captaincy India won World Cup series against Sri Lanka in 2011. Under his captaincy Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won Indian Premier League titles consecutively for two years.
Just a day before his 31st birthday, Sehwag’s comment about Dhoni’s captaincy created a huge controversy.
Sehwag slammed Dhoni, by saying that a strong team led to India’s victory in the World Cup.
Veeru (Sehwag) said: “We won World Cup because we had a very strong team which was ably backed by Dhoni’s leadership.”
“Dhoni got a very strong team. When you get a strong team, it is easier to perform well.”
Dhoni failed to perform in the Australian Series in the beginning of the year.
This year in July-August Dhoni will be leading his team to play 5 ODIs and one T20 match in Sri Lanka.
Kailash Kher, who was brought up in a musical atmosphere, is now one of the most successful singers and music composers of the Indian music industry.
His popular songs are ‘Saiyaan’, ‘Teri Deewani’, ‘Ya Rabba’, ‘Allah ke Bande’ and many more.
Apart from working in the Bollywood industry, the singer has also sung in 18 regional Indian languages including Tamil, Telegu, Oriya, Bengali, Punjabi, etc.
