Kolkata, June 15 (IBNS): Real estate developer Bengal Shristi Infrastructure Development Limited on Thursday announced an integrated highway hub at Raniganj in south Bengal.
Sunil Jha, CEO, Bengal Shristi Infrastructure Development, said: “Raniganj is one of the oldest trading hub after Kolkata. Many people are doing business there.”
“But the place is very congested. So, to reduce the hindrances various facilities are coming up that will help the people in running their business smoothly.”
He said the increase in the volume of goods traffic in the area necessitated the need for a logistics hub.
The upcoming integrated highway hub has large areas of state-of-the-art warehouse to enhance the logistic utilities for the area.
There is a space and facility for loading and unloading, a large petrol pump, a weigh bridge with modern weighing system and services station to cater to all types of vehicles.
Jha said: “We have already developed a truck terminal where more than 125 trucks can be parked.”
“The terminal is also offering restroom and refreshment facilities with fewer amounts.”
Banks/ATMs will be housed for hassle-free monetary transactions.
There will be wide metaled roads reaching to every part of the site which will make commuting within the area simplified.
The transportation system from the site has been rationally and scientifically designed to avoid congestion and allow smooth movement, said Jha.
The logistics hub also has commercial centre with spaces for offices.
There is Ranigunj Sentrum Mall that addresses the entertainment need of the catchment area.
It has retail spaces and car showrooms.
Apart from this, there is a multi-facility hotel which is in collaboration with Sarovar Portico with 60 rooms.
