Mumbai, Aug 28 (IBNS): The BSE Sensex fell 0.27 percent on Tuesday as expectations of falling growth data hit banks and metals.
The 30-share benchmark index ended 47.10 points lower at 17631.71 with 18 of its components closing in the red.
The broader 50-share National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty index ended 0.29 percent or 15.65 points lower at 5334.60 on Tuesday.
Hopes of financial reforms were clouded after the Parliament deadlock over the purported coal block allocation scandal continued, clouding India’s economic outlook.
