JMC bags its first NHAI BOOT Project

Mumbai, March 30 (IBNS) JMC Projects (India) Limited (JMC), a subsidiary of Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited (KPTL), has won a National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) project to construct a four-lane highway between Rohtak to Bawal section in Haryana, said the company on Tuesday.
This is the first BOOT project bagged by JMC. The project under the National Highway Development Program - III is expected to be operational in the next 36months. The project has been won along with SREI infrastructure as a consortium partner. The total project cost will be in the range of Rs 1,000 crores.
The project will be executed on a design, build, finance, operate and transfer (toll) basis with a concession period of 27 years, including the construction period.
Commenting on the first NHAI road order bagged by the company, Manish Mohnot, Director, JMC said: “The Government’s focus on expediting road projects augurs well for the company and we are keen to play our role in the process by getting involved in more road projects, both on EPC contracting and BOOT.”
The project is to construct a four-lane highway over a stretch of 83 kms on NH71 between Rohtak to Bawal section in Haryana. The corridor connects Northern part of Haryana and North-West Punjab to NH 8 at Bawal, which is a major industrial town in Haryana. The project corridor criss-crosses the proposed few SEZ’s like DFCC and Reliance.
