Panaji, Jan 29 (IBNS) The Election Commission has recommended suspending Director of State Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services Siddhivinayak Naik for violating the election code of conduct.

The State government is asked to file action report by January 31.

Confirming this, Joint Chief Electoral Officer (JCEO) in Goa N S Navti said the inquiry against Naik found him guilty of code violation.

He allegedly dispatched 140 appointment letters to job aspirants despite the code underway.

Bhartiya Janata Party had filed a complaint with the JCEO that various government departments were conducting recruitments during this period.

The report against Naik found him guilty though he revoked the appointment letters before the inquiry.
