Kolkata, June 14 (IBNS): Fashion designer Jaya Misra unveiled her latest autumn-winter bridal collection at her studio here on Wednesday.
City model Satarupa Pyne was present at the occasion to display the collection.

When asked why she launched autumn-winter collection while the seasons are far away, she said: “The entire bridal season is coming and so we have to pre-plan everything.”
“On the day of marriage, people want to drape into traditional wear, but for the next days, people prefer to clad into something different. For that we have drape saris, drape lehenga and fusion dresses to name a few.”
Highlighting the uniqueness of her fusion collection, she said: “Three styles are coming under fusion collection – Elizabethan, Arabic and Indian. There is Pakistani style also.”
She said yellow, orange, red and mango colours are ruling this season.
In terms of fabrics, she has focused on all silk materials and some Indian heritage fabrics.
The designer whose looks have recently been spotted in the Pantaloons Femina Miss India is burgeoning her reputation in the film industry as well.
She has designed for Bollywood celebrities like Mugdha Godse, Tulip Joshi, Narmaada Ahuja, Kashmira Shah, Rakshanda Khan and Archana Puran Singh.
