India Blooms News Service
Mumbai, Aug 20 (IBNS) Actor Mughda Godse walked the ramp for Dwarkadas Chandumal Jewellers on Day 1 of the third edition of India International Jewellery Week, August (IIJW) that kicked off at Grand Hyatt in Mumbai on Sunday.
The show called “Magie Noire” set the ramp on fire with its drama and style.
The two lit candle stands on either side of the stage set the mood for the show.
As the lights dimmed, stage stars Tara Sutaria and Sheriyar Atai regaled the audience to the theme from “Phantom of the Opera”.
Showing the glamorous “Cocktail” collection, the company proved its expertise in style and design.
It was a line of the dramatic earrings. Paisleys, floral squares, and trellised pear shapes, long shoulder dusters – the list was exotic - as diamonds, rubies and emeralds were blended beautifully to create glamour for the ears.
The “Polki” line was a study in craftsmanship and uncut gems as pendants with emeralds glittered brightly, curved flat collars, while Polki chains mixed with gold ones and ruby drops added style to the neckpieces.
The filigreed gold flat collar with rubies and emeralds, the pearl edged earrings and the tantalizing waistbands were sexy additions for a festive occasion.
In the “Bridal” collection, tiny linked diamond circles were entwined around the neck and flowed into earrings. Three strands of emeralds were linked to a semi circle of thickly encrusted diamonds and the delicate five strands of tiny circles of diamonds gave an enchanting touch.
The peek-a-boo looped neckpiece, the U shaped emerald studded necklace, the rectangle motif chocker and earrings, the rubies with diamonds pointed necklace which cascaded down the front, were visions of beauty.
Showstopper Mughda Godse looked stunning in an intricate set, comprising a giant flowing bib necklace, bracelet, earrings and ring in diamonds with rubies as a main attraction.
The event is organised by Gems & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC).
