Bangalore: Dengue claims two more lives

Bangalore, July 30 (IBNS): Two more people succumbed to dengue in Bangalore raising the toll to seven, said health officials on Monday.
21-year-old Aftab Alam, who is a resident of Rashad Nagar area, died of suspected dengue on Saturday.
He died at Dr BR Ambedkar Medical College and Hospital in Kadugondanahalli area.
Another patient Manjula, who is a resident of the Mahadeshwarnagar, died in a private hospital in Bangalore on Saturday.
Her body was later taken to KIMS Hospital. The hospital announced that she died of dengue.
However, Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) officials denied that dengue was the cause of their deaths.
BBMP health officer Dr Lokesh said Manjula died of lung cancer.
