Kolkata, Aug 12 (IBNS): Tollywood actors June Maliah and Swastika Mukherjee and comedian-TV and radio presenter Mir on Saturday inaugurated Coffee Day Express, a café at the American Center from the house of coffee joint chain Café Coffee Day (CCD).
American Center director Jeffery Reneau was also present at the inauguration.
Talking about the launch of the new café, Swastika Mukherjee, said: “I guess CCD has now become a part of our life and I personally visit many outlets of CCD for social gatherings or for meetings.”
“I would say it is a great initiative, as many people visit the American Center for various reasons. If they have a café joint like CCD over here, where they can enjoy food and coffee, it is great then.”
Talking about her own choice of food items, the actor added: “I personally prefer having hotdogs and roasted chicken sandwich with cold coffee.”
Jeffery Reneau said: “The space will add a new dimension to the services already provided at the Center, including our library and the educational counseling services offered by USIEF.”
Upcoming band ‘Ifs & Buts’ and a dance group ‘Sapphire Creations’ performed in the event.
The cake-cutting ceremony was followed by a performance by the band city based band ‘Monkey in Me’.
The lobby area of the American Center has been restyled and transformed into a café joint.
