Kolkata, Aug 17 (IBNS): Yogen Fruz an international chain of frozen yogurt and smoothie stores, opened its new store at the Salt Lake area in Kolkata on Friday.
This is its first store in eastern India. Yogen Fruz Vice President Carlos Campo and Master Franchisee of South and East India Rishi Bajoria inaugurated the outlet.
Carlos Campo said, Yogen Früz pioneered the frozen dessert snack business when it opened its first store in 1986. Yogen Früz is a world leader in the frozen dessert category, with over 1,400 locations operating in over 30 countries around the world, and accommodating growing demands from international clients across the globe."

Bajoria said that frozen yogurt has a long way to go in India, adding that a handful of brands are present in this category, and there is room for many more.
We are confident that Yogen Früz, which is a world leader in this product category, will grow at a rapid pace in India too. We shall be opening the first couple of stores in Kolkata, and then expanding across the territory. We plan to open over 100 stores in 7 years, Bajoria stated.
