New Delhi, July 4 (IBNS): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and International Trade-Republic of Mauritius Arvin Boolell is on an official visit to India from July 4 to 7, India's foreign ministry said Wednesday.
India and Mauritius share an active programme on cooperation in various fields including capacity building, economic and social development, defence and security, besides trade and investment, it added.
There are regular exchanges of high-level visits between India and Mauritius, the Ministry of External Affairs said.
The Prime Minister of Mauritius Navinchandra Ramgoolam paid a State visit to India from February 6 to 11 earlier this year.
During the visit, India announced an economic package of $270 million which included a line of credit for $250 million and grant of $20 million to Mauritius.
During his visit, the Mauritius Foreign Minister will hold delegation-level talks with the Indian Minister of External Affairs, S.M. Krishna, on July 5 to discuss issues of international, regional and bilateral interest.
He is also expected to call on other Indian dignitaries.
