Mumbai, July 10 (IBNS): Police have recovered remains of human corpses, including three skulls, at Pakistan-born Bollywood actress Laila Khan’s Igatpuri farmhouse, where she was purportedly murdered along with her relatives, media reports said Tuesday.
The search had been launched after main accused Parvez Tak told police that the actor and her relatives were murdered and bodies were buried around her farmhouse.
Tak had been sent to police custody till July 19 by a Mumbai court on Monday.
The Mumbai Police Crime Branch brought Tak from Jammu on Sunday to interrogate him in connection to the matter.
The Crime Branch got permission to bring Tak to Mumbai from the Kishtwar court in Jammu on Saturday.
Tak, who is the stepfather of Laila, was produced before the Mumbai court on Monday.
He had earlier told the Jammu Police that Laila was murdered with her family in Mumbai.
Laila's mother Celina, sister Azmina, brother and a cousin were missing along with her from Mumbai since Feb 2011.
Her father Nadir Patel, who was divorced from her mother who had remarried, had filed a police complaint at Oshiwara police station against Tak and Asif Sheikh.
Laila a Pakistan born actress had acted opposite Rajesh Khanna in the 2008 Bollywood movie Wafa: A Deadly Love Story.
She had married Munir Khan, a member of the Bangladeshi terror outfit Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami, reports said.
Laila's husband is close to gangster Dawood Ibrahim, according to reports.
Maharashtra Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) had suspected Laila Khan of having links with the Pakistani spy agency ISI and the terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
Laila's SUV was allegedly used for carrying explosives that were used in a blast before the Delhi High Court in Sept last year.
