Bhubaneshwar, July 12 (IBNS): United Progressive Alliance (UPA)'s Presidential candidate Pranab Mukherjee has slammed his challenger PA Sangma and said he does not feel that the Rashtrapati Bhavan is a 'dumping ground' for failures.
Mukherjee made the comment in the wake of the recent statement made by Sagma that the Raisina Hill has become a 'dumping ground for the failures' during the tenure of the ruling party.
New Delhi's Raisina Hill is an area that houses India's most important government buildings including Rashtrapati Bhavan.
"Whether I have failed or I have succeeded, surely posterity will judge it. I will not like to comment on it," Mukherjee said while addressing a press briefing here on Wednesday.
"But I do not consider Rashtrapati Bhavan as a dumping ground," he said.
The former Union Finance Minister said one should not use 'this sort of phrases'.
"This sort of phrases should not be used," he said.

"Raisina Hill has become a dumping ground for failures," Sangma said while addressing a press conference on Tuesday.
Sangma is supported by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and the Biju Janata Dal (BJD).
The Presidential election will take place on July 19.
