Jammu, July 14 (IBNS): Security forces on Saturday recovered a huge cache of explosives, automatic rifles and grenades as they busted a hideout of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militants in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district, said an Army official.

A joint team of 10 Rashtriya Rifles and the Jammu and Kashmir Police raided the militant hideout located in the forests of Doda district's Marmat area on Saturday after receiving intelligence inputs on it.

Army spokesperson Col. R.K. Palta told reporters that the security forces had to walk through rough terrain for more than 10 hours to reach the hideout.

Palta said: "The army and police columns are still on their way back to the base camp."

Several country-made rifles, automatic rifles, a pistol, grenades, launchers, 5 kg RDX, 60mm mortar bombs, grenade fuses, binoculars, propaganda books, medicines and radio set antenna have been recovered from the hideout.
