Mumbai, July 20 (IBNS): A case of negligence was registered on Friday against Ace Simplex Infrastructure Limited in connection to the collapse of a bridge of a monorail route in Mumbai's Wadala area.
According to reports, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) have started an investigation into the matter.
The accident occurred when a portion of a bridge of a monorail route collapsed at Wadala in Mumbai Thursday night, trapping some people under debris.
One person was killed and eight others were injured in the mishap.
The injured people were rushed to nearby hospitals.
The monorail transit system is under construction in central Mumbai at present.
