New Delhi July 20 (IBNS): A New Delhi court on Friday gave the custody of arrested key plotter of 2008 Mumbai attacks Abu Jundal to the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS).
The ATS is likely to quiz Jundal on his alleged role in the Aurangabad arms drop case, Pune's German Bakery blast case and Nashik police academy case.
The Tis Hazari court has not fixed any time frame to question Jundal but directed the ATS to bring him back to Tihar jail after the interrogation is over.
According to reports, Jundal will be produced before a Mumbai court on Saturday.
The court, meanwhile, denied the 14-day extension of Jundal's custody as was asked by the Special Cell of Delhi Police.
The Tis Hazari court on July 5 had granted a 15-day custody of Jundal to the Delhi Police after his custody ended on the same day.
Sayeed Zabiuddin Ansari, also known as Abu Hamza and Abu Jundal, who has confessed to be among the six men tasked with guiding the ten Pakistani terrorists during the three-day-attack on Mumbai, was arrested at Delhi airport on June 21 on his arrival from Saudi Arabia.
