Panaji, June 21 (IBNS) The Calangute police on Thursday arrested a 58-year-old labourer for allegedly inappropriately touching a four-year-old girl, living in his neighbourhood in Goa.
Investigating Officer PI Nolasco Rapose said that the victim’ father accused Gulam Pathan, a native of Kolhapur of attempting to molest his daughter.
“Both – the victim and the accused are sent for medical examination. We have already begun an investigation. The co-workers and witnesses will be summoned,” the officer said.
Police have booked Pathan under sections 354-molestation and 511-attempt to commit an offense of the IPC, and section 8 of Goa Children’s Act 2003.
