Pune, June 21 (IBNS): At least fifteen people were rescued from a shopping mall in Pune where a fire broke out on Thursday.
Ten fire engines rushed to the spot to bring fire under control in the Koregaon Park Plaza in Pune's Koregaon Park area.
Fire broke out around 5:30 pm in the mall.
According to reports, fifteen staff members of the mall, who were trapped on the third floor of the shopping center, were rescued unharmed.
Authorities have started investigating the cause of the fire.
The fire incident in the mall occurred just hours after a major fire broke out at Maharashtra state secretariat building, known as Mantralaya, in the southern part of the city on Thursday afternoon.
At least three people were killed in the incident that shocked the city which witnessed such a major fire incident after long time.
At least 16 people were also injured while nearly 3000 people had to rush out of the building or be evacuated as Navy choppers hovered in the sky blackened by a thick plume of black smoke billowing out of the Mantralaya where the fire first started in the fourth floor.
