Guwahati, June 26 (IBNS) : Security forces arrested a Manipuri militant at Guwahati railway station on Monday night, police said on Tuesday.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of police and CRPF had launched a search operation at the station and nabbed a militant of Kangleipak Yaok Kanna Lup (KYKL).
The nabbed militant was identified as Sairem Audou alias Sundar.
“The militant was on his to Dimapur from Nepal,” a police official said.
Meanwhile the Intelligence Bureau (IB) said that some militant groups of North East India had set up bases in Nepal and were operating from there.
In past two months, at least seven NE India militants were apprehended by security forces in West Bengal and Bihar.
