New Delhi, June 26 (IBNS): Delhi University colleges have announced their first cut-off list for bachelors degree courses, with one college setting the ceiling as high as 99.25 percent.
A year after a 100 percent bar by Sri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) sparked much hue and cry, the Hindu college this year put a ceiling of 99.25 percent for its Economics program.
SRCC meanwhile, one of the most coveted institutions under DU, this year kept its cut-off for B Com (Honours) in a bracket of 96.5 to 98.5 percent.
Hans Raj college announced a first cut off of 96.25 to 98.25 percent for the same course against last year's 96 to 97 percent.
Lady Sri Ram kept its cut-offs in both Economics and Commerce at last year's mark of 97 percent while Gargi College declared a B Com (Honours) cut-off of 97.5 percent.
Last year, a nationwide outcry over the near-impossible cut-off rate by SRCC had even prompted Education Minister Kapil Sibal to intervene and ask the Vice Chancellor to look into the issue.
