Whole Mackerels - 12, medium, cleaned
Dried Red Chillies - 8, large
Cumin Seeds - 2 tsp
Coriander Seeds - 2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
Tamarind Pulp - 2 tblsp
Salt as per taste
1. Except fish and oil, grind all the ingredients to a fine paste.
2. Rub the ground paste into fish and let it marinate for 30 minutes.
3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
4. Deep fry the marinated fish till crisp.
5. Remove, drain and Serve hot with lime wedges.
