From that point onwards East Bengal are unbeaten and going into the finals the versatile player is confident about his team. "We are really in good form and our back line are yet to concede a goal in the championship. Our forward line has been brilliant with Yakubu in good touch and the midfield is improving match by match," Nabi told IndianFootball.Com.

East Bengal face Shillong Lajong FC in the Federation Cup final on Sunday in Guwahati.

In Group A East Bengal beat JCT and Salgaocar and had to settle with a opening day draw against Viva Kerala. But they defeated Mohun Bagan 2-0 in semifinals which according to him motivated them before going into the finals. "When we defeated Bagan it just showed the kind of form we are in and this will definitely motivate us when we meet Lajong Sunday."

He feels under Philippe de Ridder the team is improving and the Belgian can make an even bigger impact in the season. "The coach has been working hard and we are really improving day by day which can only help us in the remainder of season."

Nabi is wary of the threat posed by the Northeast club but he insists the club will fight for glory. "Lajong is a good team and have done well in the tournament but we are a strong team and will be fighting for the glory."
