London, July 7 (IBNS): American Tennis star Serena Williams defeated Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland in the women's singles final to lift the Wimbledon title.
Serena beat Radwanska by 6-1, 5-7, 6-2 margin to lift her fifth Wimbledon title.
Serena earlier won the Wimbledon title in 2002, 2003, 2009 and 2010.
The American star completely dominated the first set but her opponent bounced back well in the second set to win it by 7-5 margin.
Serena fought back and won thew third set against Radwanska to lift the title.
She had defeated Victoria Azarenka of Belarus in the semi-final clash to cruise to the final of the Wimbledon's women's singles event.
Serena beat Azarenka by 6-3, 7-6 (6) margin.
The semi-final clash lasted for 96 minutes on Thursday.
