Mumbai, Aug 10 (IBNS): The All-India Senior Selection Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) met at the Cricket Centre in Mumbai on Friday to pick the Indian teams for the Test series against New Zealand, and the T20 International series against New Zealand and ICC World T20 2012 in Sri Lanka.
Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, who recuperated from cancer, returned to the T20 side for the ICC World T20 and the T20 International series against New Zealand.
MS Dhoni has been named the captain of the team for both the T20 International series against New Zealand and ICC World T20 2012 as well as the Test squad.
Gambhir has been named the vice-captain of the T20 side.
The squad also includes Ashok Dinda, Manoj Tiwary, Rohit Sharma, Harbhajan Singh, L Balaji and Irfan Pathan.
Dinda performed well with the ball in the T20 match against Sri Lanka recently.
Pathan and Tiwary also performed well in the recently concluded series against Sri Lanka.
In the Test squad, senior Indian player VVS Laxman has been named along with Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Suresh Raina, Piyush Chawla and Ishant Sharma.
