Kuala Lumpur, June 19 (IBNS): Former Malaysian footballer Shebby Singh has been appointed as the director of football of English soccer club Blackburn Rovers in the next season.
Singh is also a well-known television commentator.
He will need to act as a go-between Venky's and the manager of the club Steve Kean, Daily Mail reported.
Blackburn Rovers will compete in the Football League Championship for the first time in 11 seasons from the 2012–13 season.
The club was relegated from the Premier League, the top tier of English football, at the end of the 2011–12 season.
