Mumbai, Aug 28 (IBNS) The Indian Under-19 cricket team, who defeated Australia to lift the ICC Under-19 World Cup on Sunday, arrived in the country on Tuesday.
The team got a rousing reception after they arrived at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International airport from Australia.
Relatives and friends of the cricketers along with large number of fans were present at the airport to wish the team.
Skipper Unmukt Chand said: "I am very happy. We played well in Australia and won it. It is a proud feeling."
India Under-19 side defeated Australia Under-19 team by six wickets in the final of the ICC Under-19 World Cup final to lift the trophy in Australia's Townsville city on Sunday.
Chand played a crucial knock of 111 runs and remained not out till the end ensuring India win the final clash and lift the trophy.
