Bajaj Auto registers total January 2020 sale down 3.11 per cent

Mumbai/UNI: Auto major Bajaj Auto Limited has reported a drop of 3.11 percent in its total sales for the month of January 2020 at 3,94,473 units as against 4,07,150 units in January 2019.

The company has sold 332342 units of motorcycles during January 2020, as compared to 3,50,460 in January 2019, representing a decline of 5.08 percent, company said in a filing with BSE today.

Exports of motorcycles was up 18.65 percent to 1,74,546 in January 2020, as against 147102 in January 2019. Whereas, the domestic sales of motorcycles dropped 22.40 per cent to 157796 units in January 2020 as compared to 2,03,358 units in January 2019.

Commercial Vehicles sales was up 9.60 percent at 62,131 units in January 2020, as compared to 56,690 in January 2019. Exports of Commercial Vehicles was 5 percent lower at 27,055 units in January 2020, as against 28,587 in January 2019.

Domestic sales of Commercial Vehicles picked up in January 2020 to 35,076 units as compared to 28,103 units in January 2019, registering a growth of 25 percent.
