Leaders from world of politics, business meet for an ideas exchange at the 12th Indo-US Economic Summit
The two-day summit will be will be inaugurated by Richard Verma, US Ambassador to India and will be addressed by Venkaiah Naidu, hon’ble Union Minister of Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and Information & Broadcasting, Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Minister for Food Processing Industries, Rana Kapoor, Managing Director & CEO, YES BANK along with global CEO’s and top executives.
P. P. Chaudhary, hon’ble Minister of State for Law & Justice and Electronics & IT will give the valedictory speech on the concluding day of the summit here on September 15.
The summit will bring together more than 250 people, who are thought leaders from business, government, civil society and academia. It will deliberate on augmenting the existing two-way trade to USD 500 billion and will focus on sectors that foster growth.
Creating a confluence of policymakers, industry, entrepreneurs and delegations from the US, the summit will revolve around contemporary themes that play a defining role in shaping our bilateral relations. As part of the Summit, technical sessions will be conducted on focus sectors of Indo-US engagement.
Speaking about hosting the 12th Summit, Lalit Bhasin, Summit Chair & Regional President, IACC-NIC said, “As the Indian economy further globalizes and expands, the Indo-US Economic Summit 2016 will provide a valuable opportunity to assess developments across India-US trade relationship, economy and society. The summit will also provide a platform for the audience comprising senior executives, government leaders, CEOs and experts to discuss, debate and learn.”
