Indian benchmark indices close lower on Thursday

Mumbai, Apr 27 (IBNS): The Indian market jolted to a decline on Thursday, with the BSE Sensex down 103.61 points at 30029.74 and NSE Nifty down 9.70 points at 9342.15.

Thursday saw the expiry of the April futures and options contracts.

Some of the key stocks that gained on Thursday were GAIL, Tata Motors, Cipla, Infosys and Wipro while Lupin Axis Bank, ITC, Tata Steel and SBI declined.
