7.1 earthquake hits Alaska
Alaska, Jan 24 (Just Earth News/IBNS): An earthquake measuring 7.1 on the Richter Scale hit southern Alaska on Sunday, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The epicentre of the quake was located east of Old Iliamna, the USGS said.
The USGS predicted that the depth of the quake was 127.8 kms.
No casualty has been reported so far.
