Armed Forces Medical College, Pune lifts International trophy at Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2017

Kolkata, May 8 (IBNS): The 13th edition of Tata Crucible Campus Quiz concluded at Vivanta by Taj President, Mumbai, where the National and International Finals were hosted back to back.

Palak Kumar and Sudeep Saurabh from National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur and Anmol Dhawan and Prabhav Vasistha from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune were declared the winners and runners-up respectively in the finely balanced National Finals of the coveted campus quiz.

Anmol Dhawan and Prabhav Vasistha from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, thereafter fought off a stiff challenge from Gurtejbiir Sandhu and Sumanta Deb from SP Jain School of Global Management, Dubai to become winners of the International Finals of Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2017, at the last question.

Based on the theme of ‘Gamification’, this year’s format comprised three segments - ‘League of Legends’, ‘Need for Strategy’ and ‘Game of Crowns’, inspired by contemporary games. At every stage, the rounds challenged the participants on the ability to strategize, think out-of-the box and exercise their analytical thinking. Giri Balasubramaniam, aka Pickbrain, kept the audience riveted with his intriguing questions and his distinctive style.

Since its inception in 2004, Tata Crucible Campus Quiz has transformed into a youth movement, becoming a passion   for students across the country.

The quiz that commenced with 8 cities reaching to about 800 students in India, has now expanded to 38 cities, with over 14,000 students participating in the regional rounds this year. The quiz also received an encouraging response from Shillong and Salem, the two new cities that were added this year. It has also expanded to new geographies such as Singapore and Dubai. For youngsters, it’s not just about winning the prize money, but even sheer participation at Tata Crucible Campus Quiz, is a wonderful experience.

From budding doctors and lawyers to art students, the quiz has witnessed participation from all possible streams to emerge as the finest business quiz in India. The quiz also made its debut in Dubai this year besides hosting its 10th edition in Singapore. The competition witnessed exhilarating performances and enthusiastic participation from students across UAE, Singapore and India.
