Celebrities, revellers usher in new year with grand celebrations

New Delhi, Jan 1 (IBNS): With the clock striking midnight, people across world engrossed in several merrymaking activities to embrace the new year amid fun, fiesta and entertainment.

The night of 31st saw revellers partying with family and friends.

From clubs, cafes to rooftops of houses, DJs had  tough time to meet the demand of the music. All hit numbers of 2016 were doing rounds in the party zones.

The night sky was adorned with beautiful skyworks as people left no stone unturned to welcome 2017.

Sunday will also see many revellers opting for picnics more so with the first day of the year being a holiday this time.

Celebrities meanwhile took it to Twitter to usher in the new year and wish their fans.

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan tweeted: "New Year wishes for happiness always in 2017 !! love to all ."

Welcoming the new year, superstar Shah Rukh Khan posted: "Wot ever it is u stopped from doing last yr.Do it in 2017. Love, Family, Job wotever.If it scares u do it more & u will b happier. HNY 2 all."

Businesswoman Victoria Beckham tweeted: "Thank u to everyone who helped make this year so special! Hope everyone has a wonderful start to 2017 – Happy New Year fashion bunnies!!"
