Pranab Mukherjee wishes Albania on Liberation Day

New Delhi, Nov 29 (IBNS) President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Republic Albania on the occasion of their Liberation Day.

In a message to Bujar Nishani, the President of the Republic of Albania, the President has said, “On behalf of the Government and the people of India and on my own behalf, I extend to you and to the people of Albania warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your Liberation Day."

"Relations between our two nations are marked by warmth and cordiality. The revered Saint Mother Teresa’s life and mission in India has brought our two nations closer. Her recent canonization has been rejoiced equally in India and Albania. India is committed to the enhancement of our close cooperation in all areas of our shared interest to the mutual benefit of our two peoples," Mukherjee said.

He said: "I take this opportunity to convey my best wishes for Your Excellency’s good health and well-being and for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Albania.”
