BRO Director General reviews projects in Western Rajasthan Borders

New Delhi, Dec 8 (IBNS): The Director General Border Roads and Col Commandant ‘The Bengal Sappers’ Lt Gen Suresh Sharma toured the western borders of Rajasthan to take stock of the works being done by the Project Chetak from Dec 5 to Dec 7.

He also interacted with the Formation Commanders who felicitated him for the good work being done by the BRO.

The General officer addressed GREF personnel motivating them to strive harder in their efforts to keep the desert roads on the borders well maintained.

He emphasized in adopting modern techniques and technologies in the Project for higher productivity and better quality of roads.

The BRO’s efforts have brought remote areas closer to the mainstream bringing development and prosperity to the remotest towns of India, read  a government statement.

The people of Barmer, Jaisalmer and Jodhpur expressed their gratitude to the BRO for providing them employment avenues and means of livelihood.

The DG reemphasised the need to upgrade Indian roads to International Standards in a phased manner and rededicate each and every one to building a modern India.
