Peace talks commence between Mizoram government and HPC-D on Friday

Aizwal, Apr 28 (IBNS): Peace talks between the Mizoram government and Hmar People's Convention-Democratic (HPC-D) commenced at Aizwal on Friday, according to media reports.

This the fourth round of peace talks between the two sides.

The Mizoram government delegation will be led by Additional secretary (Home), Lalbiakzama while the HPC (D) delegation will be headed by Working President, L T Hmar, according to media reports.

One of the key demands of the HPC (D) is the creation of a separate autonomous district council in Hmar dominated North Mizoram  adjoining Manipur, media reports said.
