Pakistan denies Indian army's claims of destroying its post
Islamabad said that no Pakistani posts were destroyed in Indian firing.
"Indian claims of destroying Pakistani post along LOC in Naushera Sec and firing by Pak Army on civilians across LOC are false," Pakistani Army Major Gen Asif Ghafoor tweeted.
"No Pakistani post destroyed by India on 13 May. Indians tgt civ (target civilians) on both sides of LOC. Pak response restricted to mil (militant) targets only," he said.
Attacking India, the Pakistani major posted: "On 13 May 2017, India targeted innocent civilians. In befitting response Pak Army destroyed Indian posts in Nowshera Sec."
Earlier in the day, the Indian Army released a video that suggests heavy firing at the neighbouring country's post in Naushera Sector that allegedly aids in infiltration by terrorists.
The video which was released shows heavy firing at the Pakistan posts that even destroyed bunker busting guns, rocket launchers and anti-tank guided missiles, automated Grenade Launchers.
"As a part of our counter-terrorism operations, punitive fire assaults across the Line of Control are being undertaken by the Indian Army," an army spokesperson said.
"The Army is taking preemptive and measured actions to counter terrorism in valley and disengage Pakistan posts across LoC supporting infiltration," he added.
