New Delhi, Mar 17 (IBNS) Director Kunal Kohli is all set to make his acting debut with upcoming movie, 'Phir Se', opposite Jennifer Winget, and being a perfectionist; he made sure that he had the talent to do justice to the role.

The director-turned-actor signed himself up for private acting lessons with ace theatre director, Barry John, who is known to have trained stars such as Shah Rukh Khan, Manoj Bajpayee among others.

Kunal said, “I called Barry and said that I wanted to take up private classes with him. The funny part is that I told him I would pay him only if he would advise me against taking up acting. But, in the very first week, he assured me that I can act, and that I should take up the role.”

Kunal also added acting was always something he wanted to try out. He had already imagined himself playing the role he does in the film, but despite that, he was reluctant to take the decision himself since it was his own directorial.

He added, “I shared the script with everyone, including Barry John, as I wanted to pass his test.”
