Kolkata, Sept 25 (IBNS): The music launch of Tollywood filmmaker Raj Chakraborty's upcoming film Katmundu proved to be a starry affair as the cast and crew were present at the event on Thursday.

The movie boasts of six tracks that are in keeping with the situations in the movie and take the story forward.

The music has been composed by music composer Anupam Roy. One of the songs, Eto alo, has been sung by Shreya Ghoshal, the lyrics of which has been penned by Anupam Roy himself, is slowly catching up with the masses and climbing up the charts. There is another rap song sung by Nabarun Bose, titled 'Office Song'.

Anupam Roy while sharing his experience of working with the director, said, "This is the  first time I am working with Raj Chakraborty. About a year ago, we started working on the music and it's been an absolute delight working with him. Hopefully I'll get to work with him again in future".

Actor Abir Chatterjee, who plays one of the lead characters in the movie, commented, "Apart from being a comic caper, the movie subtly delves into self-discovery without being too philosophical. It talks about the importance of friendship".

The story, penned down by Padmanava Dasgupta, is about three software engineers who undertake a journey to Nepal to escape the stress of a 9-to-5 job and how their life takes an unexpected turn after meeting three girls on their way, forms the crux of the story.

Soham Chakraborty, Rudranil Ghosh, Srabanti, Mimi Chakraborty and Saswata Chatterjee will be seen playing pivotal roles in the movie.

Katmundu, produced by Greentouch Entertainment Private Limited, is slated for a puja release.
