Fare hike for GO Transit and Union Pearson Express

Toronto, June 29 (IBNS): A report submitted to the transit agency’s board on Wednesday said Metrolinx planned to raise GO Transit fares by about 3 percent -- after freezing prices at the start of the year -- for trips costing more than $5.65 but there will not be any change for rides costing $5.65 or cheaper, media reports said.

Canada: Pedestrian fatally struck by VIA train

Oshawa, Nov 3 (IBNS): GO train service was temporarily suspended on a portion of the Lakeshore East line after a male pedestrian was fatally struck by a VIA train in Canada's Oshawa city on Wednesday night, media reports said.
