Hyderabad, Feb 22 (IBNS): The Israel Ministry of Tourism hosted their first Road Show of 2017 in Chandigarh followed by Ahmedabad and Hyderabad. The roadshow was conducted in a networking workshop format and saw an attendance from ‘3 Tour Operators’ from Israel.

The successful 5-city Road Show that was hosted by Israel Tourism in August last year had over 800 attendees from the Travel Trade industry who attended a short seminar to gain knowledge about Israel and interact with 3 Inbound Tour Operators from Israel.

Israel recorded a growth of 13% in 2016 over the previous year with 44,672 Indian tourists visiting the destination and is hoping to maintain its double digit growth figures in 2017 as well.

The country attracts worldwide tourists and is an explorer’s paradise. With archaeological sites, a rich culture, museums, modern attractions and friendly people, it has something to offer every kind of traveller.

Commenting on the occasion, Hassan Madah, Director of the Israel Ministry of Tourism said, “Israel is an emerging destination for the Indian traveller and  travel has been growing from India to Israel over the last couple of years. We are working towards increasing our leisure and MICE travellers while continuing our focus on existing segments using different mediums, including investing in advertising campaigns and continue to build and strengthen our travel trade relationships in the Indian market.”
