Islamabad/New Delhi, Jan 18 (IBNS): Pakistan has said that it will not free a jailed doctor who allegedly helped United States find bin Laden, the media reported on Wednesday.

According to media reports, Pakistan's law minister Zahid Hamid has said that Dr. Shakil Afridi will neither be released nor handed over to the US.

Pakistan has alleged that the doctor was running a fake vaccination campaign during which he collected DNA samples that helped the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) confirm bin Laden's identity, media reporteed.

The doctor was arrested after US forces killed bin Laden in May 2011 in a secret raid in a northern Pakistani town, according to media reports.
