Dhaka, Apr 15 (IBNS) War criminals Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujaheed and Salauddin Quader Chowdhury's appeals against their death sentences will be heard by the Appellate Division in Bangladesh on Apr 28, media reports said on Wednesday.

The four-member bench led by Chief Justice SK Sinha set the new date after lawyers of the convicts appealed for more time during court hearing on Wednesday, Assistant Attorney General Bashir Ahmed was quoted as saying by bdnews24.com.

“We wanted more time. The court has set the hearing for Apr 28,” Hossain told bdnews24.com after Wednesday’s proceedings.

Bangladesh on Saturday executed death war criminal Muhammad Kamaruzzaman inside Dhaka Central Jail.
