AIIMS report rules out murder theory of Sushant Singh Rajput

New Delhi/IBNS: In an interesting turn of events, a team of doctors from Delhi's All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has ruled out the murder theory of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who was found hanging at his own flat in mid-June, several media reports said.

The AIIMS panel has reportedly agreed with the autopsy report of a Mumbai hospital which had found "asphyxia due to hanging" as the cause of the death.

However, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is now probing into the case, is likely to continue with its investigation into an "abetment to suicide".

Following the death of Rajput, social media was flooded with the demand of justice for the late actor with some film personalities including Kangana Ranaut suspecting foul play in the entire development.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) came into action after the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which was probing into the money laundering charge brought against Rajput's actor girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty by the late Bollywood star's father KK Singh, came across chats pertaining to drug consumption, procurement, usage and transportation in connection with the death case.

The NCB has so far arrested more than a dozen people including Chakraborty, her brother Showik, the late Bollywood star's household staff Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant.

The NCB had summoned popular Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh after retrieving WhatsApp chats from the phone of Rhea Chakraborty, who has been arrested on drug charges.
