Congress President Sonia Gandhi condoles Pramukh Swami Maharaj's demise

New Delhi, Aug 14 (IBNS): Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Sunday condoled the death of Pramukh Swami Maharaj, former President of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha.

Gandhi was quoted by the official Twitter handle of Congress as saying, "Congress President, Smt. Sonia Gandhi has condoled the passing away of His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha."

"Underlining his humility, Smt. Gandhi said that Pramukh Swamiji will always be remembered as a crusader of humanity,religion & spirituality," a second tweet read.

"His death is a huge loss and he leaves behind a rich legacy, Smt Gandhi added," another tweet said.

"Smt. Gandhi hoped his disciples and admirers find peace and strength in this hour of grief," she concluded.

Pramukh Swami Maharaj died on Saturday and was 95 years old during the time of his death.
