New Delhi, May 9 (UNI) Amid buzz that a crucial report will be submitted on Friday, the Babri Masjid-Ramjanambhoomi land dispute case will come up before the Supreme Court on Friday.

Headed by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, a five-judge bench had at its last hearing on March 8, invoked a mediation panel for the centuries-old dispute on whether a Temple was razed in the 16th century to construct the Babri Mosque at the birthplace of Lord Ram.

The panel of mediators was headed by Justice (retd) F M I Kalifullah, and comprised popular spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and senior advocate Sriram Panchu.

Mediation, the apex court held, will be held in Faizabad and mediators can start work within a week.

Mediators could co-opt more persons, if required, in the process.

The panel of mediators will submit their report on Friday.

In 2010, the Allahabad High Court had divided the 2.77 acre disputed land equally between Ram Lalla, Sunni Wakf Board and Nirmohi Akhara.
