2 out of 3 Indians intend to invest in ULIPs in the coming year, reveals survey

New Delhi: Bajaj Allianz Life, a private life insurers, unveiled a study  where it said 2 out of 3 Indians intend to invest in ULIPs in the coming year.

Further, the survey reveals that the affinity towards ULIPs have increased for 9 out of 10 investors, post the first wave of pandemic.

The survey also highlights the key triggers towards purchase of ULIPs for accomplishing long-term life goals.

Flexibility in managing investments is the most important trigger for ULIP investors.

More than 40% ULIP investors rate flexibility in choosing funds based on risk profile as a key trigger to invest in ULIPs.

Flexibility to opt for partial withdrawal and to switch funds is important for 1 in 3 investors.

Commenting on the survey, Chandramohan Mehra, Chief Marketing officer, Bajaj Allianz Life, said - “The survey indicates high affinity towards ULIPs, across customer profiles of age, income and geography. The key purchase triggers towards ULIP include its potential to deliver higher long-term return, flexibility to switch funds or withdraw and added benefit of life insurance cover. Customers rate Life Insurance as one of the most preferred investment instruments to achieve their long-term life goals.”
