Fuel prices rise for third consecutive day : Petrol costs Rs. 70.60 in Delhi

New Delhi, Feb 16 (UNI) Fuel prices witnessed a hike on Saturday for the third consecutive day as the petrol and diesel rates were surged between 9 to 14 paise.

In the national capital, petrol price jumped by 14 paise to Rs 70.60 per litre from Rs 70.46 a litre on Friday while in Mumbai petrol went up by 13 paise to Rs 76.23 per litre.

Similarly, in Kolkata and Chennai petrol became costlier by 14 paise each to Rs 72.71 per litre and Rs 73.28 per litre.

In Gurugram and Noida, petrol also went by 9 paise and 11 paise to Rs 71.30 and Rs 70.35 per litre.

Meanwhile, diesel prices shot up by 13 paise to Rs 65.86 per litre in Delhi.

Diesel prices in Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai surged by 14 paise, 13 paise and 13 paise to Rs 69.97, Rs 67.64 and Rs 69.57 per litre, respectively.

In Noida diesel is retailing at Rs 65.03 while in Gurugram it is reduced by 8 paise to Rs 65.30 per litre.
