Greatships' subsidiary sells one ROV support vessel

Mumbai, Apr 12 (IBNS) The Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd announced on Tuesday that its Singapore incorporated step-down subsidiary, Greatship Global Offshore Services Pte, Ltd, belonging to its wholly-owned Greatship (India) Ltd (GIL), has contracted to sell its 2013-built ROV support vessel Greatship Ragini.
The vessel is expected to be delivered to the buyers in the second or third quarter of fiscal year 2017.
 
GIL and its subsidiaries currently own and operate five PSVs, eight ASTSVs, two MPSSVs, six ROVSVs and four jack-up rigs.
 
 On Monday, The Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd had announced that it has contracted to buy a Second-hand Very Large Gas Carrier (1996 built) of about 76,931 cbm. 
 
The Japan-built vessel will be delivered to the company in Q1 FY 2016-17, according to the company.
 
The company’s current fleet stands at 32 vessels, comprising 23 tankers (8 crude carriers, 14 product tankers, 1 LPG carrier) and 9 dry bulk carriers (4 Kamsarmax, 5
Supramax) with an average age of 10.4 years aggregating 2.5 mn dwt.
