Indian Coal Markets Conference to begin on Sunday

| | Aug 30, 2016, at 09:26 pm
Kolkata, Aug 30 (IBNS): The annual Indian Coal Markets Conference completes a decade in 2016 with its latest meet scheduled from Sep 4 to 6 in Kolkata.

Every year, this international conference is attended by Indian policymakers, coal producers, coal traders, mine developers and operators, shipping & logistics companies, coal technology providers, analysts and the consumers of coal from all sectors such as cement, power, steel and paper.

The 2016 edition organized by mjunction, a joint venture between steel behemoths Tata Steel and SAIL and the country’s largest e-marketplace for coal and steel, aims to highlight the challenges in the coal segment this year and bring about a resolution for the same.

There will be the interactive sessions with the industry experts regarding the changing dynamics of the coal industry over the past year – the domestic increase in coal production, sudden fall in demand, delay in production from captive coal blocks, international prices and import of coal, non-renewable and renewable parity, power sector performance, logistics, and competition with solar power alternatives.

With its years of experience in tracking and research of the coal market – demand, consumption, stocks, prices, imports, etc – as conducted via the ‘India Coal Market Watch’ monthly reports and ‘Coal Insights’ printed reports, mjunction remains clued to the current market issues.

Also, in association with the Cement Manufacturers’ Association, mjunction will be holding the 6th Indian Coal Markets Awards Night wherein they will be giving away awards to the industry participants, under various service categories, including Coal Importer, Coal Port Performer, Coal Inspection Agency, and Coal Mining Contractor.
