Indian Market: Sensex ends life-time-high at 67,097.44 pts

Mumbai: The equity market maintained its supremacy on Wednesday too, as the BSE Sensex ended an all-time-high, touching 67K for the first time at 67,097.44, gaining 302.30 pts amid fresh foreign fund inflows and optimism in the US Market.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) surged 83.90 pts at 19,833.16.

The. Sensex moved up 110 pts to open at 66,905.01. During the session, it was rallied 376 pts at 67,171.38, days high before closing at 67,097.44, up 302.30 pts from its previous close.

The stocks include Utilities, Telecommunications, Power, Industrials and Finance Services gave a fillip to the market.

Utilities was a major stock up by 1.22 pc followed by Telecommunications by 1.05 pc, Industrials by 0.83 pc and Power by 0.81 pc.

In scrips, NTPC was a major gainer, rising 2.86 pc to Rs 192.55, Bajaj finance by 2.20 pc to Rs 7582.25, IndusInd Bank by 2.07 pc to Rs 1419.10, Ultrasemco by 1.96 pc to by 8336.10 and Bajaj Finserv by 1.64 pc to Rs 1644.15.

The losers were TCS by 0.82 pc to Rs 3471, Bharti Airtel by 0.68 pc to Rs 869.80, Maruti Suzuki by 0.61 pc to Rs 9610 and Hind Unilever by 0.43 pc to Rs 2671.55.

The Mid cap increased by 0.63 pc while Small cap fell by 0.61 pc.

In 30 scrips, 20 advanced while 10 declined.
